Tourists want to repair the Palace Kasunanan Surakarta, Central Java, in order to enhance its appeal, but does not eliminate the importance of preserving the cultural history of the nation. "There should be improvements to the building to make it look luxurious palace but did not leave the elements of history," said a tourist who comes from Blora regency, Haryo (45), in Solo, Monday (12/07/2010).

PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (TWC) has said it will rearrange the region through the development of Borobudur Temple renewals. The UN cultural agency, UNESCO urged to immediately TWC rearrangements because the master plan in 1975 is no longer appropriate to use the existing layout. If not immediately set, Borobudur threatened removed his status as world cultural heritage.

Hotels in Surakarta, central counting to raise hotel room rates. The new tariff comes into effect if the government imposed the basic electricity tariff increase. "The increase in electric base rates will increase operating expenses," said Chairman of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association Soebandono Surakarta.

The managers of hotels in Yogyakarta will not raise the room rates if the increase in electric base rates apply from 1 July. Because the hotel was still under contract with travel agents and tourism agencies, both domestic and foreign.
